We live in a world of quick fixes, magic pills and shiny objects that grab our attention. The weight loss drink that cuts out all carbs, the pill that puts us to sleep, the magic cream that removes 10 years of aging and the product that has a big red button that makes a million dollars over night on the internet.
We are easily lured by these gimmicks and magical solutions that fix all our problems, yesterday. As entrepreneurs, we need to remember that there are no quick fixes.
I’m a firm believer of the compound effect by Darren Hardy. The compound effect is a fantastic book that delivers the critical fundamentals of success.
It’s time to face reality and recognize that you can not achieve wealth overnight, lose that weight, or even fix your relationships, no matter how luring these new solutions are.
Nothing Succeeds Like Success
Nothing succeeds like success. If there was one thing I can depend on in life it is this, good old fashion hard work pays off. I don’t care what people say about shortcuts and quick fixes, even though the ease and speed of whatever solution out there is variant to the individual, hard work is always a major factor of their success.
Of course, for some people, the few acquired their results through inheritance of wealth or everything was just simply given to them on a silver platter but for the majority of the world’s population, we’re going to have to work hard and smart for it.
However, in my opinion, the ones who worked hard for everything they got receives more respect from me than the ones who didn’t.
Also, if you ever had a rough childhood, didn’t do well in class, your parents didn’t love you as much and you failed many times and experienced major set backs, this is a blessing in disguise because it’s giving you the guts, determination and character to win in life.
My hat goes off to people like you for you are the entrepreneur warrior.
The Power of Consistent Action
I finally realized the power of consistent action today. I logged onto my blog site and checked the statistics of the amount of traffic I was receiving.
About 4 months ago, I made a decision to blog every single day without any expectations of an increase in traffic within the first few months. My attitude towards this website is to not look for quick solutions to generate that surge of traffic overnight, it was good old fashion hard work with consistent action every single day.
For the past 4 months, I’ve been writing nearly every single day on topics that I enjoy writing about. I’m truly passionate in this field of entrepreneurship and I can easily continue writing for many years to come, even if my traffic goes to zero, I’ll still write nearly every single day because I enjoy it.
By looking at my traffic results, for the past few days, there has been a huge increase of consistent website traffic to my blog. I’ve watched it double over the past week and it looks like Google is beginning to unleash the fury!
The articles I wrote several months ago is gaining lots of traffic now. My articles are now rising higher in the search engines and I’m starting to receive some pretty good links pointing back to my website.
Although I’m not exactly where I want to be at the moment, today was a true indication that consistent action pays off.
The Surest Formula For Success
If there was a surest formula for success, it would be this.
- Have a goal.
- Have a plan or get a plan to achieve that goal.
- Work every bloody day towards that goal.
- Check your results and tweak it.
I’ve seen this plan work for my weight loss last year. Last year I weighed at 90 kilos and through hard work and consistent action, I dropped my weight down to 68 kilos. It took me 1 year to achieve that goal.
Even though my blog is only 4 months old, I’ve already resolved to continue writing every single day for the next 2 years and then i’ll return back and check my results. However, after 4 months, my strategy of writing every single day seems to be working.
If something is working, don’t change it, keep doing it.
Consistent action pays off.
