Jim Rohn said it best “Poor people have big TVs, Rich people have big libraries” that quote has never ceased to amaze me.

 

I once met a multi millionaire entrepreneur who owned several cafes all over Australia. We did business together and one day he invited me to his house to work on a new business venture. He owned a beach front property situated in the most prestige neighborhood. He was a true entrepreneur.

 

Did you know the first thing I noticed about him when I entered his house? It wasn’t his massive penthouse, the red convertible he had parked in the car park, the beach views or even the state of the art computer systems he had.

 

It was the massive wall to wall library he had of the best entrepreneur books, subjects contained on success, business, personal development and more. This library had the best books written years ago and the most current entrepreneur books as well. His own personal library was enough to keep any person reading for a lifetime.

 

I would also like to say that this entrepreneur did not even have a TV.

 

When I saw his library, I thought back to what Jim Rohn said, “Poor people have big TVs, Rich people have big libraries”. Since then I’ve been reading more books and have been building up my own library.
