Get some rest

A few days ago, I presented at a seminar called the Ecommerce 102 based in the Philippines.

I prepared for several weeks and continually updated my presentation and tweaked it. I also practiced heaps and added more information to my presentation to give maximum value.

I finally finished it in flying colors.

Whenever I finish a seminar, I usually go out to celebrate and then the day after, I get back to work. I know that sounds boring but that’s who I am and what I do.

Today, for the first time in a very long time, I actually didn’t use the computer since 8am till 9pm. My friends from Australia were visiting and I spent the entire day being a tour guide icon smile How To Take A Full Day Off From Your Work

It’s not usual for me to not use a computer for nearly the entire day. If I’m not working, i’m either reading something educational, doing some project planning, creating products and ideas etc.

By spending my entire day away from the computer, I was able to clear my mind and forget about everything.

Being an entrepreneur is all about working on many projects all at the same time. You keep thinking of ideas and projects you can implement. If you have multiple projects, you have multiple worries.

By not doing any work for the entire day, I was actually able to relax and clear my mind.

I noticed that the quality of my ideas were more crystal clear and more creative.

I then realized the importance of down time. By taking one full day off from your work, you help your mind settle. By having a clear mind, I noticed that I was able to generate some pretty awesome ideas and I even felt more productive when I would begin my work.

We all get caught up in work and the last thing we want to do is take a full day off and neglect all our work since we are so absorbed in our ideas.

If you feel like you’ve been working like a dog, then maybe it’s time for you to stop what you’re doing and take a full day off and not think about your business at all. After all, your work will still be there when you get back.

By taking a full day off from work, you get to experience many benefits such as:

  • Clear mind
  • Better quality ideas
  • Relaxation
  • Proper rest
  • Better sleep
  • More energy the next day

There’s so many benefits of taking a full day of rest and how it can affect your business positively.

So next time you feel burnt out, don’t worry, give yourself permission to take a full day off from work and come back to fight another day.

Good journey
