I wrote only one blog post for the month and I made over $50.63 in passive income. Nice

In my previous income report, I mentioned that I would be slowing down my blogging efforts to increase my time invested into a project I’m working on this December 1st. It’s a workshop I’m holding in the University of Makati that helps people manage and increase their cash flow online and offline.

The work has paid off and all seats have sold out. I’m currently adding a few more seats to cram in the extra attendees.

Last month, I’m happy to report that I made $42.53 in passive income through my blog. Although I didn’t blog nearly as much as I should of compared to my previous months (publishing 2-4 articles per day) it was great to see my income increase.

In October, I made $50.63 in passive income. A $8.10 increase in income.

In October, I clearly said that I won’t be blogging as much and will be investing time into my new project. I also wanted this to be an experiment as well. I wanted to see whether if I were to only publish ONE article for the month and see whether my traffic and income would stop.

Closer to the end of the month, I was itching to blog again because I really miss writing and sharing great information. Lately, I’ve been inundated with TV and Radio interviews, I’ve been creating new products and courses and learnt a ton of new things in the world of entrepreneurship.

I will be sharing with you some of the things I learnt during this time so I hope it helps you achieve greater success, or whatever you want to achieve, in your entrepreneurial journey.

Around late October, I wanted to write a few more articles, however I purposely didn’t want to publish them due to the fact that I wanted to experiment with my blog. I wanted to see whether if I were to only have one new article on my website, would it affect my traffic and income.

I’m happy to report to you that my traffic was consistent during the month, but not only that, my income also increased as well.

There was one day, I made $8.17 in passive income. This is so far my highest Google Adsense earning and my target is to hit $8.50. I wasn’t far off that day.

If I continue on the same path, I know that I’ll be able to hit well over $10 per day in passive income, but it will take some time and some careful maneuvers. Google has released several updates to their search engine algorithms and trying new fancy SEO technique thats all white hat may turn into a black hat overnight.

I can’t afford to take that risk.

Taking A Risk With SEO?

For example, a few days ago, I was approached my a link building company to place a link on my site. They were willing to pay $150 for a one line text on one of my blog articles. Although $150 sounds like a great amount for 30 seconds work, I politely declined. The reason is because placing paid links on your site can get you penalized in Google’s eyes, by making at $150, you put your site at risk from making hundreds, if not, thousands of dollars in passive income.

Not only that, no one wants to go to a website and see paid links everywhere. So there’s a lesson there itself, look at the long term view of your website and the actions you take on it today.

Weigh the pros and cons and decide.

As we are earning money with our online or offline businesses, it’s important to remember that some things are just not worth the money.

Celebrating My Birthday

I would also like to report that that month has finally arrived and I celebrated my 31st birthday yesterday in November. I’m writing writing this blog at 5:41am in Legaspi, right next to the Mayon Volcano.

I’ve been taking a long awaited break over the past few days and it’s really recharged my thinking.

This volcano is absolutely huge and looks amazing. From looking at this volcano, it conjures up my dreams and ambitions to do great things.

More challenges and mountains to climb.
