It’s been a while since I last wrote in my blog site. I normally publish around 2 articles or 1 article into my blog site on a daily basis but for the past 2 weeks, I’ve been focusing 100% on my new project “The 5 Hour Cash Flow Mastery Workshop” which is all about increasing cash flow in your life.
Anyway, I’ll write more about this project in a later post but for now, let me share with you my income report for September 2012.
Last month in August, I made a total of $28 in passive income. In August, I made a total of $42 in passive income.
There was an increase of $18 per month
During this time, I continued publishing on a daily basis while continuing to grow my traffic and income. However, there were a few strange factors that kicked in during this month.
I noticed that my traffic declined slightly during the last few weeks of the month. Initially I thought that I somehow broke Google’s algorithms by publishing too many articles and the giant search engine probably thought the site was a generic article site like ezinearticles.
However, after analyzing my traffic, I noticed that it only declined a little and it wasn’t a huge sharp drop in traffic. If you ever see a huge drop in traffic, like a cliff, then you know that you’ve done something to piss Google off.
Luckily, my site has been saved and still in Google’s good books, for now.
Another point I would like to is the passive income. I’m currently earning passive income every single day which is good, however the income really does fluctuate during the week. For example, after looking at my earnings, I would see income generated between Sunday to Thursday. I would generate a good solid $1 to $2 per day. There were days when I even made $4.80 to $5.
However, there were also long stretches of time when I would only be earning 0.01 cent which was incredibly frustrating especially when you’ve been putting in so much work into your website and Google is paying you 1 cent.
However, I calculated that I would be earning roughly $10 per week in passive income. Earning $10 per week in passive income is a great place to be in, especially for online businesses. If you take into account monthly expenses such as hosting, email marketing software and more, $50 can really cover you.
This month in October, I may slow down on my publishing, the reason is because I need more time to focus on my new seminar that I’m launching this December 1st 2012.
Since I was able to take time away from my blog and use that time to focus on my new project, I’m happy to say that I sold out all VIP seats to this event in 72 hours which is good!
I earned a lot of active income from this activity but no passive income yet.
I’m not complaining though, active income and passive income are good problems to have
One major thing I love about the internet business is that if you set it up properly, you’ll earn passive income whether you work or not. I was able to take 2 weeks off from my website and the income just continued to flow in. I didn’t add any new articles and I still made even more money.
What a great business to be in.
See you in October for the next income report. I’m looking forward to seeing whether my passive income will increase despite my minimal publishing activity this month.
