Today I have the pleasure of being featured in the Southern Luzon Enquirer media site under the story title “Astig In His Own Terms”. The Southern Luzon Inquirer is a newspaper and online media source based in the Philippines.
A good friend of mine, Mei M who is an awesome writer and connected to various medias was kind enough to help me put together a story that is compelling and interesting. She really came through and got me featured on the site.
The story is about how I started working in the Philippines, my charity projects and my future plans. I start off by explaining one of my small charity projects which was the funding of a few kids in an orphanage and what I did to help them.

Eventually I grew my goals and targeted high charity projects.
I must say, this is one of my favorite and full filling articles written about me. Even though I’m thankful for the other articles that’s been written, this one really brings close to home. The ability to help individuals and the less fortunate really makes you feel happy inside, it’s something that stays with you forever.
I’ve always believed that if you ever feel miserable in life, try helping someone in need. It will instantly change your mood and you’ll always remember it. There are so many people who have a greater disadvantage than you, if you’re reading this, then you’re one of the lucky ones who live a “rich” life.
Just recently, while I was on my way to the mall, I drove past so many people who are living underneath highways. Whether they want to be there or not is not the point, the point is that imagine if you spent your life living underneath highways and looking through rubbish bins for food.
